Nail polish audit – The Twelve:31
I wore and evaluated these twelve polishes from mid September 2025 to early January 2026. Two by Darling Diva and one each by OPI, China Glaze, Zoya, Powder Perfect, H&M, IsaDora, YSL, Indigo Bananas, Pahlish and Femme Fatale.
Hell yes!

Maybe

This polish was bought in 2019 and that makes it one of the newer shades in my collection. Sadly I just do not know if it looks good on me. The shade is pretty but something makes it a bit meh. But I am not ready to let it go just yet. It can linger in the maybe pile for a while.
Hell no!

Cassedy is just not a great look on me. The formula is great, as per usual with Zoya nail polish, but this is not a shade I prefer.

This was a poor purchase, since pink is not a shade I wear much. But I had collectors mentality when I got the chance to buy the Muscle Car Collection in 2014. So I bought all I could. The shade is still in good condition but I know I will never reach for it.

This muddy shade by OPI was my first foray into ‘weird’ shades. I do not remember exactly when I bought it but I’m guessing it is around 20 years old. Before this polish I owned a few shades of red and a lighter beige shade. Possibly a near black shade as well. I remember having about 10 shades. But this clay coloured polish found a way into my heart and initiated my interest in other type of nail polish shades. I wore it frequently for many years but then my polish collection expanded and it was not as unique anymore. Somewhere down the line it must have dried up and I tried to revive it with a nail polish thinner (a lot of it) because it smells horrendous now. Either that or something in the formula has turned. But I managed another wear and it feels ok to let it go. This shade is actually still available from OPI, but if the shade is unchanged is anybody’s guess. If I didn’t have anything like it I might consider a repurchase, but I do have several shades that does the job and does it well.

Black Galaxy is a very stunning polish that has been well loved over the years. The little bit that was left in the bottle was very dry so I barely managed to get one last full wear out of it.
So there we have it! Another twelve used and evaluated. This round we ended up with six keepers, two maybes and four hell-noes.
